This year, our team went to Port Dickson for an event that focused on strengthening our team and aligning our personal values with the school’s core values. The theme was “Empowerment and Growth,” and we participated in activities and workshops that encouraged us to reflect and connect.
We tackled fun and challenging team activities like obstacle courses that tested and strengthened our teamwork. These activities helped us see how working together can help us overcome any challenge.
One impactful part of our trip was the workshops where we explored why we chose careers in education. These sessions reminded me and many others about our passion for teaching and the importance of continual learning and growth.
We also shared stories about our teaching experiences, from our first days in the classroom to the fulfilling moments when we see our students grow. Sharing these experiences helped us understand and support each other better.
A major focus of our discussions was how we can align our personal values with Emeans’ core values. We talked about the importance of caring for our students, maintaining professionalism, and valuing honesty and teamwork. These values are essential in guiding our daily interactions and teaching practices.
We also explored ways to better embody our center’s core values of empowering excellence, passion with care, and collaboration in our daily work. This was a valuable opportunity for us to set personal and professional goals that align with these values, enhancing how we serve our community.
After our time in Port Dickson, we came back feeling more united and motivated as a team. We’re excited to apply what we’ve learned to our work, ensuring that our personal values and the school’s core values are reflected in everything we do.
